Operator
RingerText is operated by Laguna Foundry LLC. References to “we,” “us,” and “our” mean Laguna Foundry LLC.
Who may use the service
RingerText is intended for adult recreational hockey teams in the United States and Canada. Do not use RingerText for emergency alerts, medical communications, youth/guardian communications, regulated notices, gambling, promotions, debt collection, or any use that requires a separate legal or compliance review.
Captain account responsibility
The team owner or captain controls team settings, schedule data, roster links, ringer links, player lists, substitute priority, thresholds, and billing. The captain is responsible for entering accurate game information and inviting only people who are part of the team or who have agreed to be contacted as potential substitutes.
Roster and ringer consent
Players and ringers must opt in before receiving recurring lineup or availability texts. Captains may not upload or enter phone numbers for automated messaging unless those people have given appropriate consent through the registration flow or another approved opt-in process. Players and ringers can opt out by replying STOP or another supported opt-out keyword.
Service behavior
RingerText may create roll calls, reminders, substitute invitations, standby messages, and game-status updates based on the confirmed schedule and team settings. AI-assisted schedule parsing and ringer outreach are tools for convenience; captains remain responsible for reviewing schedules, settings, and game status.
Billing and message usage
Team setup is free. SMS credits are prepaid at $0.05 per credit, and the starter refill is 200 credits for $10.00. Team roll calls, availability replies, ringer outreach, standby messages, reminders, and game-status texts count toward usage. Captain signup verification, roster/ringer phone confirmations, HELP/STOP, and billing notices do not count. Unused SMS credits carry over while the service remains available. We may pause registration links before starter credits are active, and we may pause automated messaging or admin features if payment fails, a team has no SMS credits for team activity, usage controls are exceeded, or use appears abusive.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to send unwanted messages, marketing blasts, harassment, illegal content, misleading messages, or content prohibited by carriers or messaging providers. Do not try to evade opt-outs, sender identification, rate limits, compliance checks, or abuse controls.
Third-party services
RingerText depends on providers such as Twilio for messaging, Stripe for payments, hosting/database providers for infrastructure, and OpenAI or similar providers for optional schedule parsing. Their services may experience delays or outages outside our control.
No guarantee of roster availability
RingerText helps organize attendance and ringer outreach, but we do not guarantee that players will respond, that substitutes will be available, that schedules are error-free, or that a team will have enough players for any game.
Cancellation
Captains can manage billing through the billing flow. Future purchases stop when you stop buying credits, but prior SMS-credit purchases may not be refunded unless required by law or separately agreed.
Disclaimer
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, missed games, roster shortages, delayed messages, or carrier/provider failures. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amount paid for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
Changes
We may update these Terms as the product, law, or carrier rules change. Continued use after updated Terms are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
